Monstera
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
About
Monstera is an alternative band with roots in the Philadelphia area. Their values are supported in their motivation to build community, empowerment, and mental health awareness. Monstera’s debut album, “Garden of Eden” discusses themes of feminism, emotional growth moments, and social justice. This album shows range in musicianship by expressing ethereal melodies and reverberated guitar to distorted tone and hard hitting percussion. There are moments of anger and dismay in congruence with euphoria and bliss, displaying the dynamics of navigating the world as a young adult in America. At the end of the day, they hope their listeners find connection and validation throughout this L.P.
