About
With the release of their debut EP “Vanishing Principles” in 2022, the indie band Mobius Caravan laid their own cornerstone into the Cologne indie scene. Accompanied by nostalgic poetry, a rich and groovy bass and drum foundation, and rolling synth and guitar leads, the band soon made their way into cult indie venues like the Tsunami Club and the Blue Shell. Meanwhile, the 100% self-produced recordings of their songs gained the support of a loyal group of listeners. After more than a year of mysterious seclusion, the four musicians are back with a whole new album. The first single “Children of Old” takes up the unmistakably melancholic-groovy elements of the EP and comes with a psychedelic music video by Cologne director Anselm Diehl. Musically, in-house production is on the agenda again: Even more grooved in than in the beginning, the band was able to use the time to focus on particularly detailed production and composition. The album format offers space for a wider range of instrumentation - especially electronic elements such as synths and drum machines are used in a more pronounced way than before.
