A writer by trade, Davis places an obvious emphasis on poetic lyricism that cuts as much as it soothes. She takes clear inspiration from artists like Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Bobbie Gentry, and Joan Baez. Her next full-length album, "Noctalgia," is named after a term to describe the feeling of missing the stars that seem to be "disappearing" from our perspective due to climate change's effects on sky visibility. A lost romance fading away after millennia because of one-sided action, the same way it often happens with terrestrial love in shorter time.
