Mary & Adelaide
Oshawa, Ontario, Canada
About
The world is flattening, it’s an everything at once, all and nothing world, and it’s the world Mary & Adelaide sing to and about. Bowie had a lifetime to express all the ch-h-h-h-anges those children were going through, this generation has four minutes, maybe less, Tik tok! Tik tok! Tik tok! Swipe! Based in Oshawa, Ontario the suburban post-core four piece wear all the influences on their cut-off sleeves; everything from wrestling stars, vintage shop finds, films on VHS, 24 hour news feeds, big screen gaming, and all night chasing white rabbits down holes of music. All of it, the posts flowing past become the stuff of ‘Singles and Demos,” their eight track cassette which has just been released on New Found Solitude Records. Mary & Adelaide have also recently released their self-produced debut video, for the single “Faded.” Mary & Adelaide are lead guitar/vox Aidan McGuirk, Kyle Topolnisky on bass, Sam Szigeti on guitar/vocals and Luke Mitchell on drums. -Slowcity.ca
