About

Hey. I’m a 22-year-old artist currently based in Rochester, NY. If you’re wondering what my music is like, picture Jonah in the belly of the whale. Now, instead of Jonah, imagine me in his place, playing a six-string, belting out haunting melodies in the murky depths. Surrounded by a darkness that feels alive. What you hear is gritty, yet somehow tinged with a poetic hope that doesn’t need sunshine to persist. If you need a soundtrack for your eleventh hour, you’re in the right place. For the past seven months, I’ve been recording bangers with Cayman Wendt and my buddy Matthew O’Hara at Tones Studios right here in Rochester. My first single, Hey Jacob is a prayer that I wrote as if my life depended on it. The process didn’t require a much imagination – just a bit of Everlong-like guitar riffs, psalm-like lyrics, and a whole lot of angst. (If you’re trying to figure out what it’s about, Google "Genesis 32"). My next song, “Lost Somebody”, is out on February 16. It’s a polemic against denial – a relational epitaph of sorts. The hook sounds like Shawn Mendes' "Treat You Better", but the song feels like reading a sob tragedy novel. Yet somehow the baseline SLAPS. Don’t get me started on the third release. I’m so excited, I might spoil it. Follow me to stay up to date on the unfolding story. Happy (or angsty) listening!
