Manic Calm
York, England, United Kingdom
About
Manic Calm is an Indie Prog-Rock band inspired by artists like Pink Floyd, The Doors, Muse, and Radiohead. Formed in York, England in 2021, the band starting writing originals that year and went on to play gigs in local venues such as The Fulford Arms, The Crescent, Kennedy's, and York st John university student bar and auditorium. Jude Clark (vocals, keys, bass) formed the band with Jake Hawes (guitar), Alexander Inkster (drums), and Samuel Morais (guitar, bass). After completing the writing recording, and performing of their first album "Three Days a Fool", Manic Calm lost members Jake and Sam who had moved on to pursue other things. The band trialled a few guitarists and ultimately recruited brothers Gregory (bass) and Isaac Rice (guitar), who they currently perform with. Now with the release of their first album, Manic Calm continue to write music and perform around York with goals of branching out.
