Man in the Ocean

About

MAN IN THE OCEAN is an introspective-rock project by Jorge Gonzalez-Roesch, Costa Rican born in the US, raised under an intense musical environment. His family members include artists as MishCatt, Ivi Porá, Singular. After an early formation in classical music, he and his brothers initiated a rock-pop band in the late 90s (Euforia). Afterwards, he has dedicated most of his life as an advisor and entrepreneur. Debut album, IT TAKES TIME, was written mostly in NYC during 2019, and later recorded and produced in Costa Rica in 2021 at Red Stag Studio, with a strong collaboration and production from Mario Miranda (Patterns). Former members of his initial band (Euforia) also collaborated in the recording (Gabriel Gonzalez – Bass / Pedro Gonzalez / Guitars). 2025 brings our second album… SURVIVOR 79. A much more rich and diverse work, with Mario Miranda leading the general production / drums. Also bass works from Guido Fernandez (Voodoo), strings from Ricardo Ramirez (Editus), vocals from Michelle Gonzalez (Mishcatt) and Cala Rossel (Cala), plus other friends and family close to the project. Currently working on a third album, to be released early 2026. We are all survivors, in challenging but interesting times... it´s a short ride, let´s build our legacy, and enjoy!
