Malik Elijah

About

At his core, Malik Elijah is a Hip-Hop artist—but look closer, and you’ll find a creator pushing the genre’s boundaries. He wrote his first rap at 12 to Jay-Z’s “Dead Presidents” without even knowing who Jay-Z was. Since then, he’s spent over a decade honing his craft with originality and vision. Rather than ride waves, Malik creates his own, inspired by his peers, predecessors, and even anime like One Piece. His commitment to authenticity resonates both online—reaching over 660K Spotify listeners in 2023—and offline, with standout performances supporting Freddie Gibbs, EARTHGANG, Ben Reilly, plus two DIY tours. With over 45 shows since 2022 and coverage from Lyrical Lemonade and Daily Chiefers, Malik has built a reputation for electrifying live sets. His work earned him Boston Music Award nominations for Best Hip-Hop Artist and Best EP/Album in 2023.
