About
In 2018, from the southern coast of Norway, Lysjakt (Norwegian for «Pursuing the light») emerged. A year later the band broke up and initiative and vocalist Marius Ofstad (bass player in Deception (NOR) and former vocalist in Art of Deception) took the project into his own hands. This is his first solo project. Lysjakt is inspired of existential questions and subjects of mental health which feeds the songwriting process. The music pushes it’s boundaries in the sludge and death metal landscapes. During the 2020 pandemic, Marius has written, recorded and produced the debut album «Ethereal Palace». The album will be released on Ofstad Records the 12th of May 2021.
