Lyrehound is a four-piece rock outfit from Manchester, UK, that produces powerful, catchy, heavy rock, fusing together huge riffs and soaring melodies. Their music is charged with high energy and relentless drive. Singer Terry Yau and Drummer Sam Hargraves first met at university in London, where they instantly bonded over a shared love of nu-metal and emo rock music. They formed a band together with some fellow students, which gained some recognition in their university rock music circuit. The band was short lived, but they both ended up moving to Manchester a few years later, where Terry met Guitarist Max Moujaes, attending a Brazilian Samba percussion group to further his learning as a teacher (meet girls). Given this ‘Samba’ connection, it was therefore fitting that the final member of the lineup would be Bassist Pedro Acker, a Brazilian Music Producer and heavy rock enthusiast from Rio de Janeiro. Pedro moved to York in order to continue his studies and career, and later moved to Manchester, seamlessly slotting into the lineup in late 2019. Lyrehound has a desire to perform powerful live music with their exciting brand of catchy rock. Influenced by the likes of Bring Me the Horizon, Paramore and Saosin, the band is working hard, constantly writing, recording and producing more music for you to get your teeth into.
