Lauryl

About

Lauryl was born out of the ashes of another band called Delilah Fang. After that project ended, with its lead singer and principal songwriter moving across the country, the remaining members wanted to find a way to keep making music. With a handful of songs written by frontman Tanner Groehler, the group reconvened and reinvented itself as an entirely new band. Through a year of sweating it out in a basement together, the group emerged with several new songs and a whole new sound. Taking influence from bands such as Low, Cigarettes After Sex, and Built To Spill - Lauryl takes an often down-tempo approach to their songs often opting for restraint and simplicity over complex structures. This mixed with their love of a good hook and natural musical chemistry make their debut release, “Close Enough” (Due out August 19th, 2022) one you won’t want to miss.
