About

Las Los is the new collaboration between Paul Schalda (<a href="spotify:artist:3bPYp2SfYS17d7qt0Vet9x" data-name="Paul &amp; The Tall Trees">Paul &amp; The Tall Trees</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:374oLUCju3HTjpggU9W31Y" data-name="The Sha La Das">The Sha La Das</a>) and <a href="spotify:artist:5DbrQHRmMsVz8YtsDqmOrq" data-name="Max Shrager">Max Shrager</a> (<a href="spotify:artist:6vqxTQz5ZOfRSQZWfes7mR" data-name="The Shacks">The Shacks</a>). 
 The two first met as members of the late soul icon <a href="spotify:artist:462T0buQ5ScBUQCRpodDRf" data-name="Charles Bradley">Charles Bradley</a>&#39;s touring band in 2015.  
 Shrager, who was 19 years old at the time, had already established himself as an up and coming figure in the New York music scene, having penned the lead single, &#34;Sinner,&#34; on gospel legend <a href="spotify:artist:4zsrUnozu6zRlVELQezaBn" data-name="Naomi Shelton">Naomi Shelton</a>&#39;s 2014 “Cold World” LP (Daptone Records). 
 He continued to build his resume as a founding member of The Shacks, producing their records in collaboration with Leon Michels (<a href="spotify:artist:0cLrgpG3pW4MX4nD8h6qCc" data-name="El Michels Affair">El Michels Affair</a>). 
 Shrager is currently based in New Jersey, where he produces and collaborates with numerous artists. 
 Schalda- an NYC native who moved to Dallas, TX in 2017- records and performs his solo work as <a href="spotify:artist:3bPYp2SfYS17d7qt0Vet9x" data-name="Paul &amp; The Tall Trees">Paul &amp; The Tall Trees</a> (Big Crown Records).  
 He is also a core member of The Sha La Das (Daptone Records). With The Sha La Das, Schalda has arranged and performed spectacular, soaring backing vocal arrangements on the records of artists including <a href="spotify:artist:462T0buQ5ScBUQCRpodDRf" data-name="Charles Bradley">Charles Bradley</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2bToe6WyGvADJftreuXh2K" data-name="Lee Fields &amp; The Expressions">Lee Fields &amp; The Expressions</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:1plioVQ0mcgAO7uhvWkJJy" data-name="Lady Wray">Lady Wray</a>. 
 Not unlike Charles Bradley, Schalda’s voice is instantly recognizable and strikingly vulnerable. 
 A master craftsman of lyrics and melody, Schalda brings a literary sensibility to his writing. 
 Las Los’ self-titled debut album will be available on April 19th, 2024.
