Lane And The Chain
Salt Lake City, Utah, United States
About
Introducing alternative powerhouse Lane And The Chain, Utah's own lovably eclectic, genre-hopping, free-floating audionauts. Attempts to pin a clear-cut label on LATC are futile; the ever-evolving nature of the group's songwriting is inextricable from their identity as a band. With wide-spanning roots in blues, classical, punk, progressive rock, and folk, Lane And The Chain's defining characteristic is the ability to consistently maintain their hallmark captivating atmosphere across a range of musical combinations. Based out of Salt Lake City, Lane And The Chain is the 3-piece alternative project of singer-songwriter Courtney Lane. Since their inception in 2021, they've sandblasted a distinct niche into the scene with a one-of-a-kind stylistic blend: Lane's formidable vocal power & quickly recognizable keys-playing, wicked nu-wave-inspired bass from Julie Boswell, and B Zitting's relentless, kinetic drumming. Unique yet classic, The Chain's sound contains elements similar to artists like Fiona Apple, Phoebe Bridgers, Ben Folds, Florence & The Machine, Gaga, and many more. Lane And The Chain is as refreshing as they are elusive in their pursuit of genre-defying glory; this little band from the Rocky Mountains not only packs a punch, but exemplifies an exciting modern incarnation of alternative music.
