King Sheim
Seattle, Washington, United States
About
Jokes, confessions and threats of violence are all included in the “punk-pop” tunes by Seattle native Celeste Felsheim and their band King Sheim. Being able to balance descriptions of “fairy-like” and “playing chicken with a freight train” on the shoulders of one band is no easy task, but King Sheim does it with ease, while screaming, in platform boots. “Their music was perfectly put together, raucous and shining with tongue-in-cheek certainty. Listening is not entirely unlike playing chicken with a freight train — you know you’re going to lose. You know you’ll be crushed, but you can’t help staring into the headlights for as long as your heart will let you.” DailyUW 2023
