About
"Americana produced in a West Philly basement" Justin Russell, known by his friends as "Jus Rus" at his core is a deeply earnest songwriter and a performer with a punk rock energy. An Austin based artist by way of Philadelphia, Jus was inspired by the likes of Frank Turner and the Gaslight Anthem growing up. His latest EP release "Gracious, Patient, Hearts", is his attempt to lay a foundation for himself artistically. In this project, Russell combines personal, occasionally campy, lyrics with big arrangements and a dramatic flare. With tunes ranging from punk bangers to heartbroken anthems and sentimental serenades, Jus Rus' "Gracious, Patient, Hearts" steps all over the map and hopes to find a toe hold somewhere. bookings: jusrusmusic@gmail.com photos: @alshousephotohouse
