Juki P2 is the new solo project of Swiss-Mexican singer-songwriter Pamela Méndez. It was born before the pandemic in New York, where she creatively explored her newfound love for House Music and Chicago Footwork alongside producer Tim Walsh (The Stepkids). In this project, they aimed to blend pop song structures with production techniques from House and Chicago Footwork, resulting in an impressive sound. The first single, "Off We Go," has already been released on the legendary London dance label, Moveltraxx. Now, the first single from Juki P2's debut EP, titled "New Dimension," will be released on August 18th, followed by the EP itself on September 15th on Méndez's own label, Promote Love Records. The title "New Dimension" symbolically represents the fusion of various elements: Psychedelic RnB meets a European interpretation of Chicago House Music. In her lyrics, Méndez consistently engages with societal themes, and a feeling of futuristic nostalgia runs as a common thread through all her pieces. Time is relative, even in the creative process. After completing the new music production, Pamela Méndez took advantage of the pandemic to personally learn the dance and music style of Chicago Footwork in Chicago.
