Jessie Veeder
Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States
About
Sounds like dirt roads and dust, wind and wheat fields, hope and home... Jessie Veeder has been a symbol of folk music in Western North Dakota since she released her first original album when she was only sixteen years old. It was an effort that took her from performing at fairs and festivals around her home state to launching a long holding music career that blends western, rock, blues and heartfelt honest lyrics to tell the story of rural living through the captivating lens of a woman who lives it every day. When not ranching or touring, she chronicles life on the land on her blog "Meanwhile, back at the ranch...", as well as through a weekly column in the Fargo Forum and as a commentator on Prairie Public Radio. In 2022, Jessie released her first children’s book, “Prairie Princess,” a look at ranch life through the eyes of a child. "Yellow Roses," Jessie's fifth original studio album recorded in the historic Omnisound studio on music row in Nashville is set to release fall 2023.
