About
Izzy Kershaw is a multi-instrumentalist transgender producer/singer songwriter from Norwich, who delves into crunchy thumping alt pop soundscapes. Colliding together gritty punky rap with a whiplash of light funky pop together into a patchwork of catchy melodies and ballads. She writes her music for lost souls and introverted, energy bound individuals. Commended by Hypefresh for having ‘intricate instrumentation’ and ‘rich, layered sounds’. Brought up in a highly musical family, Izzy Kershaw was exposed to a vast variety of different styles and was playing along to artists all the way from jazz artists like ‘Django Reinhardt’, to screamo artists like ‘Bring Me The Horizon’ and later scoring contemporary classical music at the Birmingham Conservatoire. Fans of Izzy Kershaw may also like other alt pop artists and genre benders like: SOPHIE, Grimes, Massive Attack, Ghostmane, Baby Metal, Miyavi and Chappell Roan
