Isanti

About

Isanti is a musical project from Sons of Sans Arc and The Lilacs frontman Kenton Alan James. During the pandemic Kenton recorded some demos in his basement studio (Lafayette Studios) later releasing the self-titled album (later known as Isanti I) in March 2020. Isanti I was immediately followed by Songs from Plum Tree Lane in September of 2020. By Spring of 2021 Kenton released Isanti II before starting a live band and playing their first show in February 2022. Kenton would go into Lafayette Studios to record Crystal Visions with his new bandmates. The sessions stretched over summer of 2022 before release in September of that year. In the July of 2023 Isanti members Kenton and drummer Jacob Vande Vegte worked on a new album called Gold Rose Hotel. Live fan favorites Crashing to June and Heart Simulator would make the album cut. A November 2023 recording session of older Isanti songs was recorded for a release but the album was shelved. Two singles Intensified and Melancholy Morning would be released from these sessions. After Isanti did a tour in summer of 2024, Kenton travelled to Italy where he wrote a new album called Jesolo. Recording sessions began in August of 2024 and lasted several months. The album Jesolo was released May 31st, 2025. Like previous albums Isanti I, Songs from Plum Tree Lane, and Isanti II, Jesolo would see Kenton playing all instruments and completing the album on his own.
