In Silo

About

In Silo is the solo project of musician and songwriter Chris Gillett. In 2020, he released the debut album 'Souvenir' along with an ambitious three-track short movie music video for the singles 'Surrounding', 'Reminder' and 'Broken Dream'. The album contained heavy electronic leanings, mixed with classical elements and alternative rock guitar riffs to merge many of In Silo's influences. In 2022, In Silo released 'Surrender' as the lead single from the 4-track EP 'Death Moon', which arrived one week later. The track received airplay from BBC Introducing, as the release highlighted a more distinct synthwave direction. In November of the same year, In Silo dropped second album 'Anxiety//Ruin', which sonically took a live band approach. This was swiftly followed by 2023's post-punk and brit-rock inspired 'A Tide So Desolate' album. 2025 sees another change in direction with the BBC Introducing and Amazing Radio-championed single 'Finally I Find You' which centres around piano loops, electronic drums and more optimistic lyrics atop string-based instrumentals. 'Tides', which features Scottish indie-folk artist Rachel Gaughan on the song, was playlisted by Danielle Perry as 'Unsigned Song of the Month' on Absolute Radio for July. 'So Far Away' is the latest single accompanied by a self-directed and self-shot music video. These singles were followed by In Silo's fourth album 'Space in a Dream', released in August 2025.
