About
House//Divided (H//D) is a progressive metalcore band from Norfolk, Virginia, blending crushing heaviness with melodic depth and raw emotion. Their debut EP, Ash & Echoes, set the tone with tracks confronting mental health, existential doubt, and personal unrest. After shelving a second record mid-pandemic, the band hit reset — both creatively and personally. A lineup change followed, bringing in new perspectives and a sharper sense of direction. Live shows helped reconnect with what mattered, while singles like “Empire”, “Stray”, and “Headless Howl” marked the beginning of something new during a period of refocus. Now, with fresh energy and a clear voice, H//D returns with The Hero Dies — a loud, urgent pushback against burnout, pressure, and apathy. Led by the single “Perfect Paralysis”, a track that lashes out against the weight of expectations, The Hero Dies is a love letter for anyone still swinging, even when the ending's written.
