About
“Forgot How 2 Chill” is the latest album from sandy psych-rockers HOTBED. Recorded between Jake Wipf’s Philadelphia apartment and Castle Crank Recording studio, “FH2C” may be the opposite of a concept album. Every song on the album takes on a genre of its own; “Flatfoot” might make you want to throw on your Mossy Oak hoodie before you peruse refrigerated worms at your local gas station. Meanwhile, the song “Evil” has the potential to crush someone’s soul with its soaring saxophone and somber lyrics, leaving you reminiscing on where all the time went. The duality of FH2C captures HOTBED in 2025; a band giving their audience a little taste of what they are capable of, all while sticking with the sound that captivated fans from the beginning.
