Honeytrap

About
Honeytrap is a collective of NYC based musicians focusing on the performance, composition, and improvisation of creative music. Using their training in jazz music and love of popular music, they fuse jazz, rock, R&B, hip-hop and neo-soul to create a style all their own. Their influences range from J Dilla to Robert Glasper, Emily King to Rage Against the Machine, Stevie Wonder to A Tribe Called Quest, and you can hear this as they seamlessly blend styles, eras, and personalities in their performances. With eight instrumentalists complemented by vocalists and emcees, Honeytrap’s maximalist sound creates high energy performances that shake the walls of venues. Honeytrap also serves as the house band for a new R&B/Hip-Hop jam session at Arlene's Grocery in New York City. The session, aptly titled 'The Honeytrap' takes place every Thursday and invites musicians, vocalists, emcees and other to participate in creating, dancing, and being with all of us. Honeytrap is led by Brooklyn based multi instrumentalist, composer, producer, and engineer, Peter Enriquez.
