Happy Midnight

After a million years of serving the celestial council, the Three Musical Beings created a digital cyber scroll containing all of their melodious works, and cast it off into the void of space, in hopes that someone, anyone out there, might hear it and come to their aid. And alas, The cyber scroll found a home among a world in a distant solar system, and the planet’s beings heard all that had been written and performed, and made a plea to the celestial council, asking that the Three Beings be released from this musical captivity, to take up residency on their planet. The council agreed, under the condition that the Three Beings be forever bound to mortal earth bodies, never to regain their celestial power. So the Three were released, and transmogrified into fleshy human persons, by the human names of Sam, Jo, and Cody, in the planet’s year of 1985. They were accepted into the planet’s society, and wrote a new song to celebrate their freedom… It was a new song, something they had not done before, and it was sung by millions in the stanky night clubs of the world. But this trio, this musical group that found the happiness in the darkest shadow of midnight, still felt that they lacked something. Something deep, something powerful, but they couldn’t put their finger on what it was. Until one fateful night, they were approached by a bronze skinned, curly haired man with an ebony bass… “What’s yeasty. Name’s Paulo”...
