Hanako
Montreal, Quebec, Canada
About
Hanako (花子) is a versatile singer-songwriter from Montreal who loves indie folk, rock & roll, and dream pop in equal measure. Her first album, My River Goblin (2024), was recorded live, and distills heartbreak and hope, mixing memory and desire, into eight original songs that have a rare lyrical maturity. Hanako’s second record was an EP entitled KakoBako whose fever-dream melodies and Japanese lyrics conjure up the forests and rivers of childhood memory. In 2025, she is continuing a busy calendar of live shows, and together with some favourite local performers, diving into recording sessions for a third album that will take her music in a mesmerizing new direction. https://linktr.ee/hanakomusiqqq
