Glass Lungs

About

Glass Lungs is an independent rock band rooted in Brooklyn, New York. Known for their distinctive "Mood-Gaze" sound, Glass Lungs takes the dreamy, ethereal textures of shoegaze and deftly pairs it with the massive down-tuned guitars and slow, plodding tempos found in doom metal. Formed in January 2015, the band has quickly made a name for themselves, drawing on the diverse backgrounds of its members, who have previously collaborated with notable labels like Facedown Records, Eulogy Records, Hotfoot Records, and Audio Deprived Records. Their diverse blend of experiences has distilled into Glass Lungs' innovative approach to their music, uniquely positioning them within the independent music landscape. The Spring of 2018 saw Glass Lungs affirm their presence in the scene with the release of their first full-length album, Impermanence. The album was met with high praise and helped to define their careful fusion of progressive instrumentation with haunting, atmospheric layers of sound. For Glass Lungs, the future feels bright. This upcoming project promises to delve deeper into the newly coined genre, "Mood-Gaze"—a testament to their continuous evolution and commitment to pushing the boundaries of music. As they prepare for this new chapter, Glass Lungs continues to captivate audiences with their profound musical and lyrical narratives, securing their place as innovators in the indie music scene.
