About
Gardens is a band based in Baltimore, MD. They blend influences from idm, power pop, singer-songwriter, and psychedelia to create genre-bending music that feels both honest and experimental. Embracing a DIY ethic the trio of multi-instrumentalists record, produce, and mix all of their own music and design their own artwork. After the release of their 2016 collection of psychedelic and synth oriented demos - “Strange New Shapes” - the band played shows sporadically around Baltimore and released a follow-up EP, “The Blue EP” in 2020. “The Blue EP” is emblematic of the bands affection for 60’s and 70’s psych, folk, and country rock - representing a departure from the lo-fi, reverb soaked indie of the first release. Gardens has spent the last several years diligently writing songs and experimenting with their approach to production in their studio and rehearsal space. Listen to their new single “Just Don’t Fit” - the first in a series of upcoming releases. This latest release showcases Gardens further exploring a sound that is uniquely theirs. Band Members: Joe Wilson, Adam Swiecicki, and Mike Strittmatter.
