About

The group formed in 2010 when members of several local bands got together to create new music, which progressed into the band Fractions, completing their debut live show in March 2013. Some member changes, led to the creation of the current line up. 2015 - Returned to UK touring, playing with Mage, Internal Conflict, Resin, In Search Of Sun, Ramage Inc. & many more. 2016 - Began recording a self-produced 5-track EP ‘Forces’ which was released in the Summer of 2017, making several reviewer’s top ten EP year end lists & reviews. 2017 - Reached the final of Leicester’s Metal 2 the Masses at the iconic De Montfort Hall. Playing to a strong audience, their show was met with critical acclaim. Guitarist Chris Johnson was awarded best guitarist of the competition, receiving an endorsement with Stone Wolf guitars. The band continued to progress playing numerous dates around the country, with the most notable being supporting Raging Speedhorn. The pinnacle was achieving a main support slot for TesseracT on their Russian dates. 2018 - Added to the Vocalzone, Newtone strings & London Drumstick rosters. Completed a UK headline tour & performed at TECH-FEST UK 18. 2019 - Continued to perform across the uk, along with performances at Uprising Festival & Bloodstock Open Air. At the end of 2019, Fractions were dormant from live appearances, but have since announced a return to regular activity marked with the release of a New single Under The Pale Moonlight available from 15th September 23
