About

ELIS is a seventeen year old songwriter and performer, forging an undeniable path in music with her debut EP Channel Surfing. By mixing the classic and new wave rock n’ roll genre with complex lyricism and modern issues, her perspective is both refreshing and captivating. ELIS started writing songs at the age of seven, and taught herself guitar four years later when she was in the sixth grade. She grew up listening to 2000s era pop music, especially Taylor Swift, and later she became interested in 70s rock n’ roll, particularly the sounds of David Bowie. ELIS uses music as a form of protest and self declaration, and is a firm believer in using music as a tool for change.
