El Moono are back with their highly anticipated debut album, <a href="spotify:album:6sV0OCuxZAhGyUC5j83X5l" data-name="The Waking Sun">The Waking Sun</a>, recorded at Middle Farm Studios. The band are further exploring their off-kilter and oftentimes mind-bending riff writing, emotive soundscapes and expressive lyricism to create a record that will further prove their “genre-phobic” reputation. 2022 saw the band's release of the critically acclaimed EP ‘Temple Corrupted’ via Lockjaw Records, (<a href="spotify:artist:6LaK7jiyyNzB8JVhddxZxG" data-name="Belvedere">Belvedere</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3kAJUCn4swbWxCZXW7cZ6K" data-name="Jamie Lenman">Jamie Lenman</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3A7XJB48UZEoAFhVHWa93v" data-name="DARKO">DARKO</a>) and heavy touring around the UK & Europe (with the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:76Se0uC5hM5u1R410UHAFp" data-name="Black Peaks">Black Peaks</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2gh0wzYIb4EE3feCX5hMZX" data-name="The St Pierre Snake Invasion">The St Pierre Snake Invasion</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:71SuQzoFQd0qZwl6jdd2tn" data-name="The Hyena Kill">The Hyena Kill</a> and more) which cemented the band as favourites within the post-metal/post-hardcore scene. Exploring themes of human self-destruction and depression, the narrative is set to “seismic riffs of grunge with the atmospherics of post-rock” - Guitar World "Temple Corrupted is utterly incredible" - Kerrang! With unique influences of rock, hardcore, metal and grunge, the off-kilter and oftentimes mind-bending riffs, emotive songs and expressive lyricism combine to create a sound that’s difficult to pigeonhole. Although, fans of <a href="spotify:artist:3NChzMpu9exTlNPiqUQ2DE" data-name="Thrice">Thrice</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2ziB7fzrXBoh1HUPS6sVFn" data-name="Audioslave">Audioslave</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6Ghvu1VvMGScGpOUJBAHNH" data-name="Deftones">Deftones</a> will have plenty to sink their teeth into. <a href="spotify:artist:6JnVIkM76FVcDo5RXEwXTS" data-name="El Moono">El Moono</a> are one of the most exciting up and coming bands who should not go unnoticed.
