About
East of Eado has established themselves in the Houston music scene over the last 5 years, selling out headlining shows at White Oak Music Hall, winning the Houston Chronicle reader’s poll for Best Local Band in 2021, and getting radio play on 94.5 the buzz. Their first full-length album, “Sonic Remedy,” was released independently in June of 2022 following their EPs “After Dark” (2019) and “Lost in Imagination” (2020). Recorded at Sonic Ranch outside El Paso, Texas with platinum record producer Sean O’Keefe, Sonic Remedy blends East of Eado’s diverse range of genre influences into an alternative rock sound reminiscent of the early 2000s. With anthemic choruses and themes centered around self-reflection, the album explores responses to the challenges and triumphs of young adulthood. Joey Guerra of the Houston Chronicle said that Sonic Remedy “has an astonishing amount of polish. It’s impressively produced and mixed and sounds like a band that has been together much longer. The guitars are heavy and confident. The drums punctuate every verse and chorus. But the band’s true strength are the melodic rock harmonies that anchor every song. This is a sound that could, and should, fill arenas.”
