DZ Riley
Chicago, Illinois, United States
About
DZ Riley is a Chicago-based Art Rock band that composes conceptual and narrative-driven music in various styles, drawing inspiration from David Bowie and Pink Floyd to Steely Dan and Prince. Genre diversity comes naturally to DZ Riley, as all five members have varying musical backgrounds. No two projects or songs sound the same. From old-school sound to modern genre-melding, DZ showcases all they’ve got in their latest concept album 'Peak Panache', where intricately produced songs of bluegrass, funk, mariachi, latin, western, rockabilly, and psychedelic rock all have their own special place in the universe for a group of aliens disguised as the pest control company "DZ Riley" to seek out, abduct, and harbor the music for themselves. After capturing enough musicians and dissecting their brains from all over Earth, DZ Riley puts on a grand finale in concert, where they give all of the music that they've been influenced by back to the world that gave it to them in a spectacle of performance.
