About

Dominick Fields is an independent artist, producer and multi-instrumentalist currently based in Minneapolis with roots in the Chicago suburbs. He pursues creating music that blends his powerful vocal style with undeniably tuneful melody and graceful songwriting. An avid multi-instrumentalist throughout his formative years, Dominick Fields attended university to become a landscape architect but had always taken to the writing, performing and recording of music both with his band Fertile, aka The Fertile Boys as well as privately at home. Throughout college Dominick and the Fertile Boys honed their chops as a live group playing weekly 3 hour sets at the local Ames venue Thumbs. Upon graduating and practicing as a full-time landscape designer in Dallas, Texas he frequented the open mics around Deep Ellum and began recording the collection of songs that would become his debut album “Place on the Sun”. Dominick Fields remains the primary creative force on the project, writing, performing, and producing between his home studio and the Kitchen Studios in Dallas, along with drum performances by McKenzie Smith from the Denton group, Midlake.
