About
Dojo for Crooks is an indie rock group based in Portland, OR, USA. Initially formed in 2011 by childhood friends Braden Anderson (<a href="spotify:artist:7C18pchwBGtmrfUr0JI7Dd" data-name="Braden the Young">Braden the Young</a>), Jesse Howe, and Andy Thies in a Kansas City garage with a few cheap synthesizers and a drum kit, their sound has come into its own as intrinsic garage-rock built on a foundation of pop influences. The group's characteristic upbeat, distortion-tinged sound has been featured in dozens of television shows and advertisements. After a four-year hiatus, the group released its first new single, "Shock the Room", in 2022 under Middleborn Music.
