About
Devra is the alias of Italian drummer, composer, and producer Fabio De Angelis. With a solid background as a side man for various artists, Devra decided to embark on a personal project to fully express his personality, a synthesis of his experiences and musical tastes, ranging from the roots of traditional jazz to the vibrant British nu jazz scene, down to the foundations of hip hop. His eponymous EP, released on June 30th with the London-based label Root Records/DeepMatter, marks his debut and garners significant support both in the UK and Italy, with mentions on radio stations and influential programs such as Jazz FM, Soho Radio, Rinse FM, NTS Radio, Jazz re:freshed, Futurebubblers. The B-Side program, hosted by Alessio Bertallot and now airing on Radio Capital, hailed Devra's EP as 'one of the most interesting Italian releases of 2023'.
