About
Deimhal is a Symphonic Black Metal band hailing from Finland. After a long thought in his head, in 2021 Vocalist Mika "Deimhal" Tönning ( Armada North, ex-Catamenia, ex-Dawn Of Relic,) started putting together a demo of his own riff ideas and songs started to emerge at a fast pace. At least the bands Satyricon, Immortal, Dimmu Borgir, and Arcturus can be heard as major influences in Deimhal's music. At first, the idea was to start working on music as a solo artist, but as time passed, sharing the workload started to make more sense. Tönning started sharing his thoughts and songs he had demoed with his musician friends and asking if there would ever be interest in joining the project. Because interest was found, by the end of 2021 the number of musicians had increased to six when Timo Lehtinen - Bass (Kalmah,), Janne Kusmin - Drums (Kalmah,), Gábor Dancs - Guitar (Resolution 13), Toni Buckman (ex- Resolution 13) and Henri Isojärvi - Synths, joined the band. In the middle of EP recordings, Buckman decided to leave the band and has since been replaced by Jukka Hallikainen (Ex-Enthring) As the band is just starting its path, music is evolving and only time will show what will be the final style music-wise. Deimhal`s first self-published 4 track EP "The Grand Gathering" was released on 19.5.2023 Deimhal`s newest four track EP "The Diabolical Liberation" was released on 23.8.2024
