Dead in 5
Detroit, Michigan, United States
About
Evoking a sonic mash up of Soundgarden, System of a Down, White Zombie and Led Zeppelin, the band’s dirty outlaw rock will make you raise your fists in salute to their musical juggernaut. It’s “Sons of Anarchy” meets “Fight Club” set in the post apocalyptic “Mad Max” environment of Detroit Rock City. Since their debut show inside one of Detroit’s most notorious biker clubhouses in 2013, Dead in 5 has become an in-demand live act headlining the Midwest’s top venues and festivals, in addition to support slots for Anthrax, Five Finger Death Punch, Hell Yeah, Godsmack, Sevendust, and Pop Evil. Dead in 5 have released 4 discs including “Wreck Your World” with tracks featured in the cult film “Pro-Wrestlers Vs. Zombies” (Troma Entertainment) starring WWE wrestling legends “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Matt Hardy, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, and Shane “The Franchise” Douglas. Next “Schizophrenic Razor Project,” produced and engineered by Chuck Alkazian (Soundgarden, Alter Bridge), garnered Dead in 5 further acclaim. When the band’s first 2 discs sold out, Dead in 5 released “Die Another Day” to meet fan demand (2018). The 17 song disc is a re-mastered “Best of” including songs from Dead in 5’s sonic beginnings. The bombastic EP "Automatic Death Machine" featured Dead In 5's raw punk and metal influences weighing in on apocalyptic themes of Man Vs. Machine. The band's latest release "Tortured Heart" showcases Dead In 5's melodic side without losing their distinctive Motor City crunch.
