About
Day for Caroline are a five-piece Alternative folk rock band hailing from Adelaide, South Australia. Formed in the basements of Adelaide University, Jack Ray, William Joyner, Solomon Young and Jack Barton began playing and writing together during their first year of studies. Early in 2024, they expanded their lineup to include Lily Appelt which in turn meant that the group could now include keyboard as part of their sound. Treading paths laid by influential Rock names such as Velvet Underground and Wilco, the band’s sound combines folk melodies with hearty rock grooves and abstract storytelling. "bittersweet notes of melancholic nostalgia tangle with the absurd and psychedelic. It’s both enchantingly whimsical and deeply introspective, at once wistful folk and versatile rock, and it comprises everything I’ve come to expect from this compelling Adelaide group." - Max Levy on "I Regret"
