Dakota Sluiten

About
Dakota Sluiten is a Madrid native based in León (Spain) who began creating music with her mobile phone during long train journeys. What started as the creation of individual songs spanning different genres accompanied by homemade and folkloric videos has evolved into a project closer to electronic music, characterized by the use of synthesizers, arpeggios, danceable rhythms, and reverberated vocals, always under the DIY philosophy. In 2022, she made her debut with her synth-pop album "IN MIJN HUIS," a record that combines minimal techno tracks with more upbeat synth-pop ones. During live performances, she is accompanied by Samuel Carretero, who handles the mixing and plays the guitar, while Dakota Sluiten sings with her continuous delay and plays the synthesizer. They have participated in festivals such as Urbikoa, La Xarana, Reeperbahn Festival, among others.
