Cut to the Chase

About

Cut to the Chase are an electrifying garage rock band from Redcar, England. With vocalist Claire, lead guitarist Andy, bassist Jacob, and drummer Paul, they draw inspiration from the vibrant sounds of the mid-2000s, crafting a brash post-punk sound that captures the essence of their musical roots. Andy and Paul’s journey began in school, jamming for hours in Paul’s Dad's shed, inspired by the eclectic sounds of their childhood, and the musical family members that went before them. They bonded over nailing Alien Ant Farm’s version of 'Smooth Criminal' laying the groundwork for their musical chemistry. Claire, Paul’s cousin, brought a fresh energy to the group with her love of Taylor Swift and a voice influenced by some of rock's greatest front-women. Jacob joined the band after a search for a bassist, infusing his unique flavour, shaped by old blues records he listened to with his Grandad. Together, Cut to the Chase weave a wide range of influences into an exhilarating blend of catchy tunes and edgy rhythms. Inspired by iconic acts like The Hives, The Darkness, Stereophonics, Shed Seven, The Damned, and The Offspring, they redefine a classic era while inviting listeners to lose themselves in their energetic live performances. Get ready to Cut to the Chase and experience the vibrant sound of a band that celebrates both music and the memories that inspire it.
