Conitine

About

Conitine is a five-piece Alternative Emo band from Manado, Indonesia. Formed by longtime friends who share a passion for honest and expressive music, the band consists of Alvendi Lasut (vocals), Kevin Wongkar (guitar), Cliff Sumangkut (guitar), Julio Pasla (bass), and Giftel Kwaar (drums). Their debut single, Don’t Board That Plane, Don’t Disappear, written by Alvendi and produced by Kevin in his home studio, delivers a haunting portrayal of loss, longing, and the desperate plea to stop someone from leaving. With melancholic melodies and powerful dynamics, Conitine introduces a sound that’s deeply personal yet universally resonant. The lyrics express the deep emotional struggle of someone facing the painful reality of parting with a loved one. Set against a melancholic backdrop, they try to deny that the goodbye is real, holding onto fleeting moments and the hope that the person might stay. The song highlights how love, memories, and a few heartfelt words can change everything, while also portraying the heartbreak of letting go. It's a reflection of intense love, the fear of loss, and the desperate wish to stop time just to be together a little longer. With this first release, Conitine sets the tone for a musical journey filled with vulnerability, passion, and emotional depth, marking a strong start for the band in the scene.
