Hi, I'm Chess, I am a 22 year old indie pop rock artist from the East Coast of Australia, I grew up absorbing the raw energy of the Aussie live music scene, and now my music draws from the sounds of Wolf Alice, Lana del Rey, Radiohead and Dora Jar. I trained in classical/opera singing for 7 years throughout high school in Australia, whilst also starting to write and sing my own music on guitar. At age 18 I moved to Europe to pursue my music career further abroad. A big part of my journey as an artist and the reason why I do music, is just to express myself and be emotionally vulnerable, so others feel safe to do the same. In this is divided world it is so important to provide a space where people can be together and feel connected through art. ​It is for this reason I recently took part this the Hot Vox - RISING charity event for War Child raising over £2225 for children in areas of conflict around the world with my live session. A big part of my artistic identity as a performer is my style on stage and through my visuals. I love leaning into a whimsical, witchy and etherial aura that permiates through my fashion and overall aesthetics.
