Take birth, for example. “I was born two weeks late—I came out on my own terms,” NYC-based singer-songwriter says with a good-natured laugh. Fittingly, Chelsea, a lifelong performer, came to record her debut album exactly when she was ready and not a moment before. Her honey saturated, satiny belt spills out about recovering herself after a string of unlucky relationships and finding what matters most on her latest album. Chelsea’s journey has been informed and guided by a deep knowledge, devotion, and connection to the practice of Astrology. This lifestyle imbues her music with a sense of grandeur and mysticism, similarly spirited to that magical age of 1960s and 1970s rock n’ roll. Today, Chelsea contributes to the beloved classic rock, a tradition, a modern flair, a theatrical sensibility, dynamically expressive vocals, engaging personal revelatory lyrics, and a penchant for being heartfelt and hooky. Relationships are a main theme in Chelsea’s writing, and she sagely writes about romantic connections, friendships, and self-knowledge. “I go with my gut as a writer.
