Charlie Waves hails from the costal town of Plymouth, Massachusetts. He's always had a passion for music from a young age. From watching early 2000s music videos on MTV from Artists like T-pain and Andre 3000 to experiencing Eminem's film 8 Mile for the first time, this started his journey. From being a student of the game all through his childhood, he would study artists verses, flows and cadences. Always searching for the deeper meaning. Eventually in high school, he started to write his own rap lyrics and freestyle with his friends before basketball games. His first love was hip-hop, but he eventually started getting into Alt Rock listening to bands like Red Hot Chili Peppers, Artic Monkeys, and Rage Against the machine. Well also listening to Pop-rap acts like Drake, Logic, Jon Bellion and Post Malone While later down the road getting into the EDM scene being inspired by acts like Fred Again. Once college hit, he started recording his original music in his dorm room in Boston, MA with his friends. He now blends elements of pop-rap, EDM, and hip-hop into his songs with the goal to spreading euphoric energy and bringing people together through his music.
