Bruecken

About

BRUECKEN is an Oldenburg based band from northern germany, playing atmoshperic, instrumental music, using a diverse palette of sounds from heavy bursting walls to calm moments of retreat and salvation. With caution and concept BRUECKEN create a multi-faceted signature sound. Crossing corner posts of the very different influences each member brings to the collective, BRUECKEN play an unorthodox but fluent version of atmospheric music, that challenges the genre defining borders of post-rock. Their music is a mirror of loss, love, passion and friendship and in that very personal. It deals with topics of facing tragedy, resisting adversities, but also hope and celebrating the joy, catharsis and energy that music is able to offer despite all that. BRUECKEN stand as a band for the will to merge an explicitly poltical attitude and atmospheric, instrumental music. The background of the members in the Punk and Hardcore scene brings them to see music and politics to be inseperable intertvined and with their music they always try to couple punk attitude and ethos with progressive and emotional aspirations.
