Bran Sanders is a folk musician based in British Columbia, Canada. He shares stories through his songs; whether it be from his perspective or that of fictional characters, in clever ways, captivating ways. Drawing inspiration from traditional folk music, his songs are often story-based and have references to Canadian life. While his love for covering old-time and traditional folk music is ever present in his live performances and his recordings such as “Red Rocking Chair”, his own music is uniquely Bran in a way that allows him to explore different sounds on top of that traditional feel. With over 100 live shows in 2023, Bran Sanders is a performer that loves to be on stage. Bran blends relatable stories with catchy melodies and a captivating voice to create a memorable experience. Bran Sanders' newest single release, “Thomas and the Sea”, is a fictional tale told from the perspective of an unnamed person onboard a ship in the sea. The lyrics tell the story and the music was created to mimic the feeling of waves rocking back and forth amidst a storm at night. There’s a pulse and a changing tempo at 2:02 that brings the intensity up a notch, falling back at the end to a calm.
