About
Blue Vervain is an indie/mood rock project from New Jersey. Named after a popular flower, “Verbena Hastata,” Blue Vervain was formed by vocalist, guitarist, and songwriter Jon Khan while attending law school in 2018. After partnering with Mint 400 Records in 2019, Blue Vervain released their freshman record, “Wounds.” Blue Vervain then went on to play shows nationally and internationally to promote their new record. When the COVID-19 pandemic brought shows to a halt, Khan penned the sophomore record, "North Carolina." North Carolina garnered thousands of streams, no less due to the fact that it featured a sophisticated and interesting rendition of Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams.” After North Carolina, Khan endeavored to expand the possibilities of what he could create musically and wrote a drastically different record than what he had released in the past titled "Seasons." Seasons featured a string orchestra forefront and encompassed folk roots with rock and roll expression. On September 22, 2023, Blue Vervain released their follow-up album “The Garden” featuring 7-brand new tracks.
