About
Blixie Perestroika's debut album Ambition Is Low was released on September 9th 2022. Having started writing together before the world went into lockdown, Blixie and collaborators Jack and Morgan used the sudden insulation from the outside to build a new world, carrying a musicality that is dense, enigmatic and occasionally confronting. Never afraid to broach difficult terrain, Ambition Is Low is a panorama of trauma and triumph, a prayer for salvation whispered to the crucible of an indifferent universe. Blixie's lyrical drive is propelled by ideas still alive and unanswered, from Auden to Primo Levi, a search for truth and a search for peace, knowing there may be neither.
