Bayou City Funk

About
Bayou City Funk is a six-piece band, featuring a two-piece horn section. The group is described as delivering deep-pocket grooves accompanied by lightning-fast horns and soulful, yet gritty, vocals. While “funk” is in the name, the band strives to push the boundaries of the genre with their original music by blending in modern twists. Bayou City Funk has previously played at multiple venues in Texas and Louisiana, including White Oak Music Hall, The Heights Theater, Warehouse Live, The Continental Club, Last Concert Cafe, Discovery Green, St. Arnold's Brewery, Karbach Brewery, Yaga’s Cafe, Darwin's Pub and The Art Car Ball. They have also played with New Orleans greats - John Papa Gros, Rebirth Brass Band and Dumpstaphunk.
