Barbarian Law
Brooklyn, New York, United States
About
South Brooklyn’s very own Barbarian Law is a band for the meat head punks. Combining the energy of hardcore with the depth of rap, they put on a live show that is no less than electric. It’s hard to not succumb to the intricate drums held down by Mike Murphy which compliment the grounded and heavy guitar and bass duo of Grant Richards and Owen Sullivan, respectively. Together they create the ultimate old-school punk sound rivaling acts like Agnostic Front or Black Flag. Over a short amount of time Barbarian Law have developed a cult following in the NYC hardcore scene with fans coming from all over to revel in front man Micky Golden’s message: that for Barbarian law, anger and humor are one and the same. To quote the band’s close friend, “Barbarian Law is three chord idiot music you make with your dip shit friends.” And to that they say: better three chords and a loud message than complicated and total bullshit.
